About Us

History

Established in 2006, Planit Products Ltd it probably best known for the patented
toastabag®. Invented by MD, Guy Unwin, toastabags® are now available in several
varieties and are a staple in many kitchens across the UK, Europe and indeed the rest of the world. In the years since, many unique and useful cooking products have been added to our portfolio, ‘kitchen hacks’ to make life in the kitchen easier, quicker, cleaner and healthier. Planit Products are a UK manufacturer with a plant based in Worcestershire. We also have a manufacturing partner in China as well as warehousing facilities in the USA. This flexibility allows us to respond quickly to customer requirements and even develop bespoke designs depending on customer needs.

Accreditations

It is extremely important to us that we meet certain standards, both for us and
throughout our supply chain.
ISO9001:2015 Quality Management: This certification helps us to implement and follows process and systems that ensure all our products are manufactured to the highest standards. From making sure that all products are fully traceable to maintenance records and procedures to logging and reacting to any complaints, ISO certification ensures continual improvement throughout our whole.
SMETA: This 2 pillar annual audit covers all aspects of Heath and Safety and Ethical Policies and Processes not just within our own company but throughout our supply chain. This Audit ensures that all workers are treated fairly and in safe working conditions. We are also Sedex members. Our Modern Slavery Statement is available to read on our website.
FOOD SAFETY: Product Safety is very important to us and so all items that we make or buy must be tested to all relevant safety standards. Tests are usually renewed every 2 years ensuring consistent quality.

           

Sustainability

Planit Products are committed to sustainability in both our product range as well as
packaging. Any new product ideas are developed considering any impact that they may have on the environment. The non-stick PTFE coated products that include
toastabags® and all liner variations are reusable many times over. Clear bag items,
such as slow cooker liners and microwave steam bags can be recycled. Nearly all our packaging is either recyclable or compostable. When using cardboard in packaging, we ensure that it is sourced from FSC accredited.
